This oceanfront hotel is in town, close to many restaurants, shops, and beaches.
It is about 35-45 minutes from Sky island Ranch (depending on traffic). Health food store is about 10 minutes away. There is a pay laundry inside the hotel.

THIS IS THE CLOSEST HOTEL TO THE RANCH AND RECOMMENDED.
It is a local hotel, simple, clean and near grocery stores.
In Captain Cook:

This hotel is a small local hotel and a less expensive option. It is very clean, neat and has a restaurant. No phones or TV in the rooms, only in the lobby. It is about 5 minutes from Sky Island Ranch. Health Food stores and laundry facility are about 10-20 minutes away.

CAMPING:

Hookena Beach Park on the ocean in South Kona
Camping on the beach - restrooms, outside beach shower, picnic area, barbecues, no drinking water, no electricity. Nice swimming and snorkeling. Only 20 tent sites.

The camping is located about 30-40 minutes from Sky Island Ranch and about 35-45 minutes from health food store and laundry facility.

Note: You will need a car unless you prefer to join our Chauffeur Driving Plan. The driving here is easy. There is one main road that circles the island and takes you everywhere in a beautiful tropical setting with clean air and lovely views. If you prefer to have a driver with a van for your transportation to the boats and beaches and restaurants, please contact us in the office about a Chauffeur Driving Plan and we will gladly arrange someone to provide your transportation needs. There is an additional fee for this driver service.
