DAY ONE
The seminars begin on Sunday afternoon between 1:30 & 2 p.m.
at the Royal Kona Resort. This is a day of introduction to each
other and to the ocean. You are welcomed by Joan Ocean and the
Dolphin Connection staff. We give thanks for this sacred island,
the ocean and the dolphins, and then we go to a protected beach
where we practice/learn snorkeling in the shallow ocean waters
and become 'pod-ners' (like the dolphin pods.)
If your are renting your snorkeling gear in Kona, please visit Jack's Diving Locker or Snorkel Bob's, (both near the hotel), before our opening meeting. For a discount, tell them you are attending the "Joan Ocean Seminar."
In the evening, after dinner, we meet at 7:30 p.m. At this time we discuss our afternoon swim, go over the schedule for the week, and learn about the Hawaiian dolphins and whales we will meet this week.
DAY TWO
We gather in the morning in the lobby of the Resort with our snorkeling
gear, ready to meet the dolphins. At the pier, we meet the captain
and learn about the boat. Communicating telepathically with the
dolphins and whales, we then depart to meet the free-swimming
and friendly dolphins along the Kona coast. The morning includes
time with the dolphin families, swimming, and enjoying lunch.
Our safety swimmers assist you in the water as we experience the
heartfelt, benevolent human-dolphin interactions. We are back
at the Resort around 1:30 p.m. The afternoon is free to relax
and shop and dream!
We gather again in the evening to discuss our day and learn about
the dolphins and their intelligent and loving behaviors.

DAY THREE
We convene in the morning to go out on the boat. The Spinner dolphins
are free spirits, swimming north and south along the coastline.
Joan knows the dolphins' behaviors and their favorite places for
people and dolphins to be together. We experience their enthusiasm
as they happily approach our boat, coming to meet us and play
in the bow waves. If they stop and mill around the boat, we may
snorkel right there. Or they might escort us into one of the protected
bays inviting us to swim with them there. It is always their choice
to interact with us. The water is aqua blue with clear visibility.
It's a beautiful sunny day. Our hearts are filled with Joy. In
the evening, we reconvene to meditate and share the day's experiences,
learning more about the dolphins of Hawaii and their love for
humanity and the ocean.
DAY FOUR
Another day with the pods! When we are out on the boats we often
connect with more than one species of dolphins. The Pacific Bottlenose,
the Spotted dolphins and our gentle Hawaiian Spinner dolphins
all live in these coastal waters and are familiar with our boat!
We may also enjoy nursery pods of Pilot Whales, with the help
of friendly Hawaiian fishermen who call us to report sightings
of these sociable cetaceans. The air is clean, the sun is warm,
the water is a healing color of royal blue to aqua, we are completely
relaxed and at peace.
Later in the evening, we meet to share our dolphin experiences,
enjoy unique videos of dolphin behaviors and learn about telepathic
communication, healing with sound, cellular transformation and
many other dolphin/whale teachings.
DAY FIVE
Our morning on the boat will reveal even more, now that we are
familiar with the water. We may see manta rays and turtles, eels
and little octopi, colorful fish and coral, along with the dolphins!
As we swim together, it feels natural and easy. The dolphins know
us well by now and we are happy to be in their company. There
are so many young ones, energetic, funny, spinning out of the
water, then quickly rejoining their moms...looking at us and asking
us to play. The water is warm and blue. The kind-hearted company
of our aquatic and human friends is inspiring and fulfilling.
We feel at peace with the world. Again in the evening we enjoy
our time together as kindred souls who have mutual purposes on
this planet at this time. We all came here together for a reason
and the reason is Being fulfilled. Our level of clarity increases
as we understand who we are in relation to the dolphins, humanity
and the greater Universe.
DAY SIX
We meet in the morning for the closing circle of our group. Names
and addresses are exchanged. A final sharing and ceremony of Thanksgiving.
The seminar is over at 11:00 AM in time for hotel check-out for
those who are leaving Kona.
